Donkey Door

Door mural painted for a nonprofit institution that provides therapeutic recreational horseback riding instruction to people with special needs. One of 5 doors, my favorite one, and the last one finished before.......2020 was a thing.
I hid a lot of tiny details in all of the doors I have made. The kids seem to love it. I know I loved finding hidden things in stuff when I was a kid. Still do. If Search-and-Finds didn't take so long I would be making them.

Full view of door in place. Each door I painted has a little hidden symbol 'carved' into it.

close-up of the upper part of the door, including the date 'carved' in the door (2019), a bluebird, and some cloud sculptures

Close up of the right side of the door, but mostly just the hidden little praying mantis (i loved hiding things in the doors)

Close-up of left side, mainly the background. The cat laying on the rock is one of the places 'barn cats' who has only 3 legs. Also hidden is another cat by the fence, one of the most popular cats who passed away while I was there, and a heart
